I STILL can't believe it!!

Anyone who really knows me, knows that I do NOT like running! Never have, and probably never will.  However, this past Saturday I ran a 10k!! To some that may not seem like much, but it was a real accomplishment for me! I trained with my friend and neighbor, Lindsey. We started training at the end of August, with neither of us really knowing what we were doing. We did a small 5k in September and it was tough for me, so I thought would never be able to make it in a 10k. After more and more training I was getting excited, but the week before the race I ran 5.5 miles and totally died! I had to ice my knees for two days after!! So I started to get really nervous to run, but like the title states I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE I DID IT!! I don't have any pictures running, but this is a picture of SOME of the girls that I ran with that morning.

I really couldn't have done it without them to push and encourage me along the way, and I really couldn't have done it without Brent!!! He was always encouraging me to run even when I didn't want to and he watched not only our children, but Lindsey's boys too!! And he was always there at the finish line cheering me on!! Thanks honey, I LOVE YOU!!

Great job, Megan! What an accomplishment! It has been fun to get to know you a little bit though the last 10 weeks or so of running! And I think you did an excellent job! Thanks for participating in our fun Women in Motion group!
