Long Update!

Well, it's been quite a long time since I have put pictures on here--- SO I have a bunch!!
Let's see.... to start here are a few from Halloween! Leila was so funny when we carved pumpkins- we started carving a face into her pumpkin and she ran and hid behind me and didn't want to even look at it! We finally got her to talk to it and even give it a kiss! After that she was very proud of it!

She was a chicken this year and was such a cute one!!! She loved wearing her costume! She wore it many times before Halloween!

Thanks Crista for letting us use the cute chicken costume!!

Okay next picture is of us raking/playing in the leaves. We had a TON of leaves- I should have taken a picture of all the piles of leaves we had at least 5 HUGE piles.

Leila wasn't so sure about playing in them, but she got used to them. And in these pictures she has on a coat and gloves, but it really wasn't that cold she just needed gloves on because daddy had them on and she loves her coat so I couldn't talk her out of it.

And here is our small Christmas tree! Leila had a hard time figuring out how to hang the ornaments, but when she got the hang of it she would take them off and put them back on- every morning she reminds me that we need to turn on the tree lights!

This video is my favorite we had our ward Christmas party the other night, and the primary kids were singing songs and Leila was leading them!! So CUTE!!

Well, that's our update! Sorry it was so long! Hope you enjoyed our pictures!

It's official we went to the doctor's yesterday and we are having a BOY!! We are so excited! I know it's taken me FOREVER to post anything, and I have a lot to post, but it is sometimes hard to find the time to do it!!! So I will try to do better and find pictures!

Long Time NO POST!!

Well, I was going to wait until I could get our ultrasound pictures up on here, but I don't want to wait anymore! WE ARE PREGNANT!! YAY!! We are so excited! We are due on the 20th of Feb. so that would make us about 17 weeks along!
Leila has been so cute every time she sees the ultrasound picture she points and says "baby" as if she knew what she was looking at! Hopefully this will calm her screaming down and help her share some of her toys!
So if I figure out how to put the picture on here I will, but for now-- this is all I have!

Memories (this is fun just do it!)

Here's the rules...

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Funny stuff!! JUST DO IT!

Gardening FUN!

This was actually a few weeks ago, but I just found the pictures so I thought I would post them! This is Leila helping me garden! She was so cute. She would use the small shovel to try and dig and would end up with all the dirt on her head! She HATED the hat I made her wear! She would leave it on until I turned the other way or started doing something else and then off it would go!! She was so cute and it was fun to have her out there with me!

Martin's Cove!

This past week, the extended Eddington family had a family reunion at Martin's Cove in Wyoming. So we packed up our camping gear and took the 6 hour drive up. We had a great experience (minus the never ending wind). We did a 6 mile hike and Leila did so good the whole time!
This is us in our pioneer clothes--Leila didn't have a bonnet so we put a bandanna on instead!

Here is Leila and her 2 cousins Sam and Lily--they got to ride in the handcarts most of the time! They loved the ride!
We had a great time! Thanks to everyone who helped plan it!

Logan or Roosevelt?!!

Well, for those of you who are wondering if we have decided to move to Logan or to stay in Roosevelt- this post is for you....
After praying, fasting, and comparing, we have finally decided to stay here in Roosevelt for another year! Logan was great and fun to visit--we fell in love with the area and felt really good about moving there, but we also had similar feelings about Roosevelt. After praying about it we felt the Lord was fine with either decision. We were debating for weeks on what to do and applied for jobs and apartments in both places, but I think the deciding factor came in the mail when Brent received a scholarship here at the Uintah Basin campus for $2500 a semester!! We are so excited about this wonderful blessing, so we are staying in Roosevelt until law school and then who knows where we will go....

Too Many Cupcakes!

Thursday (the 17th) was Leila's Uncle Tony's birthday, so we were invited over for dinner and cake. Well, right as we got there Leila spotted the yummy chocolate cupcakes on the counter that were supposed to be for dessert. She hardly ate anything because she wanted those cupcakes so bad. So I thought, okay, if she shares one with Brent that won't be so bad. After that first one she wanted more. I gave in once more and let her have a few more bites of another one. Then they pulled out the Strawberry short cake which was fabulous (thanks to Angie) and Leila wanted some of that, so I gave her a few strawberries. However, there were still two cupcakes sitting there tempting her so bad. She kept reaching for them and screaming for them, but I told her she had enough- Well, it's a good thing she has a Aunt and a Grandma who love her and gave her ANOTHER cupcake, and as soon as she got it she shoved it in her mouth so I couldn't take it away! Here are just a few pictures to show how satisfied she was after her long struggle to get it.

Let's just say Leila LOVES chocolate and her nose can find it every where it is hidden! Oh well, I guess she gets that from me! Ü

Happy 50th Birthday MOM!

Today was my mother's 50th birthday so we thought it would be fun to have a surprise party for her! We had a lot of fun planning this! It was all based on the "death of her youth" so we had a funeral for her youth! We had everyone dress in black and when she came in instead of shouting surprise we all started crying and mourning! We had a program that consisted of a eulogy (by her sisters and mom), a tribute (by Patrick), a musical number (by the "Arko" girls), the reading of her second to last will (read by Dad.... and written by my Father-in-law), and memories by everyone there! It was hilarious and we had a blast! Mom was a really good sport with the whole thing! So now she is 50.... and still FABULOUS!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!

This is a long one!

Okay I have A LOT to write about so this will be a long post... sorry!
First off I was going to put some pictures on from Leila's birthday party with the Arko's so here they are....
When we gave her the cake, she didn't know what to do with it! When she figured it out she LOVED it!
She decided to put all sorts of body parts in the cake including her feet!
And she really liked sharing the cake with anyone who wanted a little!

On Friday- March 21 I got to do something that I have always wanted to... I went ICE FISHING!! I had such a blast! We went to Strawberry and I absolutely LOVED it! Here's a picture of my biggest fish and Brent's biggest fish!
(Don't mind the way I look! It was cold and early in the morning!)

Then of course Saturday and Sunday we had Easter fun! Saturday we had an Easter egg hunt and lunch with the Eddington side. Leila didn't really understand to look for the eggs, but she sure loved shaking them when she got them in her hands!
And here is Leila in her new Easter dress! She received this for her birthday from her Great Grandma and Grandpa Nelson! Thanks Grandma!

We bought chickens today to take care of THIS problem...watch carefully, as it may be hard to see.

We're really excited to have bug eaters and egg producers in the same package. We actually tried to kill all the spiders last year with an expensive bug killing "fertilizer", but to no avail, so we're trying what really works this year. We've killed countless wolf spiders and black widows and think this will help put our minds at ease while Leila plays outside. Anyway, here are the chickens while their still cute :)

Wow it has been a long time since I have even been on my OWN blog! I love to look at other peoples' and I have a hard time remembering to do my own!

Today was Leila's 1st Birthday!! I can't believe she was born a year ago! Time went by so fast!

Here she is one year ago- just a small baby in my arms!! Now she is a ONE year old in my arms!
Tonight we had a small party for her that was a lot of fun! Most of the Eddington family came as well as Great Grandma and Grandpa Woodruff and Nana and Papa Arko (and Pat). Leila was getting cranky during the day but as soon as everyone showed up- she was so happy and wanted to show off!! Good thing she had all the attention tonight!

This was the funniest video of all!! For her birthday she got this rocking horse and at first she was really scared of it (which is funny because she loves all animals especially Emily's BIG BLACK dog Sadie!) Anyhow she didn't want anything to do with it and she finally got the courage to touch it and then get on it... the funniest part was everyone was laughing at her and she would smile, but then get this look as if she didn't know what to think!! It was great!! What great entertainment children are!! Anyhow, she got a lot of great presents - so thanks to everyone!! We are having another small party for her this weekend with the Arko side so I will have more pictures to post!

You see this is why I need to do this more often- I have all this cute pictures of Leila and I can't decide which ones to put on here, but if I put a picture every time I post... I might be able to post all the ones I want... just a note to myself! :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEILA!!!
