Okay it's really time to catch up... I thought this would be so much fun and that I would do it all the time, but I kind of forgot about it!! Then as I was looking at other blogs I thought you know this is basically like keeping a journal, WITH pictures, on your family!! So it got me excited again especially since we lost ALL of our pictures off our computer! So hopefully I will remember to keep up on this and save some pictures here!
Brent has started part-time working with his dad and going to school full-time! He is currently the Elder's quorum secretary in the ward and loves that calling. He is busy, but still finds time to play with Leila and me! :) During the summer Brent decided he wanted to set up our fish tank, but we didn't have anything to put it on! So he decided with his spare time he would make a stand. It turned out to be very beautiful and really convenient!
Leila is a busy busy girl she is growing up so fast!! She is almost 7 months old and is ready to be independent!! She loves sitting up, but since she has been around so many cousins who know how to walk she just wants to stand and walk right NOW!! We keep trying to teach her to crawl, but all she does is get on her hands and knees and rocks, then eventually lands on her belly! She has gotten to be very vocal lately- she talks to every animal that she can and if she hears someone playing the piano or tries to play the piano herself she LOVES to sing along!
As for me I love being a stay at home mom!! I find I have lots of time to do new things!! I have loved learning to make bread (and different treats), make bracelets, quilting (just a little with A LOT of help), practicing the piano, and most of all PLAYING with Leila!!
This summer for a family "vacation" we went to Salt Lake and bought "Connect" passes that allowed us to go to many different places in the Salt Lake Valley. The first day was busy we went to the zoo, and then to This is the Place State Park.
